Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
The design is also better than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot accomplish this feat. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, while not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best option is probably hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a range of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our top robot vacuum s and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people, but it's one that will aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is quite compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've used that has done well at picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price price.
If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set up, just connect one of the side brushes, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock close to a power outlet and ample space to allow it to move around but.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
